We’d like to reassure you that your fundraising will go to hospice you wish to support. The three hospices will continue to operate under their existing names – Chestnut Tree House, Martlets, St Barnabas House, with their current branding. The merger will not impact where your generous support will be directed.

Your donations will continue to be used to support  and the work we do at the three different hospices.

From January 2025, when you donate to Chestnut Tree House, Martlets or St Barnabas House, the name you will see on your bank statement will no longer be St Barnabas Hospices (Sussex) Limited  or Martlets and will instead be Southern Hospice Group.

This change will not impact where your generous support will be directed. Your donations will continue to be used to support the hospice you choose.

No. Legacy giving will not be affected by the merger, or creation of Southern Hospice Group. You do not need to make any changes to your Will if you’ve specified which hospice you’d like your gift to go to.

The three hospices will continue to operate under their existing names – Chestnut Tree House, Martlets, St Barnabas House, with their current branding. 

This means that if you’ve signed up to emails from Chestnut Tree House, you won’t receive emails from Martlets or St Barnabas House, unless you’ve also signed up separately to them.

Martlets Care will continue to operate as a separate entity (a subsidiary of the group) and will be overseen by the Group Leadership team.
