We have sessions to meet a variety of needs for different services and different learners. Each course has been designed to support the growing need for knowledge, skill and understanding of palliative care.

This half day session introduces working with a syringe driver and outlines the benefits and risks for an individual and their family. You’ll learn how to safely administer medication via a syringe driver and there will be a practical workshop.
The aim of this study session is to identify the types of conversations that are challenging and what makes them difficult. We will also explore skills that can support the development of effective communication when working with people with life limiting, end-of-life conditions.
This online session introduces the assessment and management of some of the common symptoms experienced by service users receiving palliative care and those at the end of life. This will include pain, nausea, terminal agitation, breathlessness and respiratory secretions.
